Temporary Housing and House Hunting If you require accomodation, furnished or unfurnished, we can arrange this for you, whether you need it for one or two weeks, a month or longer. Once you have filled in our Relocation Questionnaire let us know when you will be available and we will make a pre-selection of properties and take you to view them. We carefully check the rent agreement or purchase contract and negotiate with the landlord should any repair or general maintenance be necessary. When you will find somewhere to live we will carry on an inspection of the property before you move in. When you move in your new home, we will read the meters and inform the various companies that you have taken over tenancy. If you would like satellite TV we can arrange for a dish to be installed at your cost. As well, we will take care of your telephone and internet connections and mobile phone subscriptions at your cost. Removal, Furniture Rental and Storage We can help you obtain quotes from reputable removal companies for your move. If there is likely to be a delay before your furniture arrives, let us know your requirements and we will do our best to make you comfortable by arranging for rental furniture. Alternatively, if you need your furniture stored for a period of time we can arrange this too. You may require some weekly domestic help or a professional cleaner to clean your house prior to moving out. We will do our best to put you in touch with companies or individuals. Use your helpline if you need post-move assistance of any kind. We are available to answer your questions for the full duration of your lease. We also offer departure assitance if you are leaving Luxembourg or if you wish to move within the Grand Duché when your lease is up. Due to our long and effective relations with the local authorities we ensure you the best service. Prior to your arrival, we will supply you with a list of all documents required to apply for your work and residence permits and will deal with the application on your behalf. Once in Luxembourg we will deal with all the administration and accompany you to the relevant offices to receive your permit. As well, we will assist you in obtaining your residential parking sticker, tax card and social security card. We will apply for your child benefit allowance, convert or transcript your foreign driving license. Our team will provide assistance for any issue you would have. Every parent wants to find the best possible school for their children. We will arrange appointments for you to meet the staff and find about schools and other daycare options and assist with enrolment. We will also help you find extra- curricular activities such as sports clubs, ballet classes and music lessons and tutors if your child needs a little extra help with school during the adjustment period or beyond. There are certain grants and students loans to all young persons under the age of 26 who have their main residence in the Grand Duchy. We can help you with application process.
